Torre en New York

The composition of the tower is initially determined by its functions, which have the same volume.

Subsequently, privileged views are sought that stand out above the nearest buildings. As a result, we have 10 floors of hotel and 5 floors of cantilevered apartments with 180º vision and 4 terraces with clean vision around them that have privileged floors. There are 3 communication cores. Two of them reach the 24th floor and the last one reaches the 120th floor, reducing in the 63rd floor.

The structure is determined by a grid of pillars of 50x50 cm each 7m, with a maximum span of 10 meters. The pillars are not positioned due to the intention to free the corner. This ensures that there is a clean view in each corner and the closest pillar is 3.5m away. The pillars are set back 2 metres so that the sensation from the outside is of flying slabs.

The project was developed in Revit.
